John K. Hillers photographs of Utah landscapes
Collection consists of eight images of Utah landscapes taken by John K. Hillers. Dated approximately 1870-1899.
W. E. Hook photographs
Collection includes 94 photographs by Hook with images of the American West, including landscapes, Native Americans, and structures.
Austin P. Larrabee scrapbook
Scrapbook contains photographs of various scenic areas, particularly Bryce Canyon, Utah, and the Grand Teton Mountain Range, Wyoming, and several photographs of bird nests, birds, other animals, trees, other plants, and rocks. Also included are photographs of naturalist associates and family members of Austin P. Larrabee. Most photographs are labeled, but few are marked with a date.
Photographs of the West
Collection includes 138 photographs, 43 postcards, one tintype, and a newspaper with images of Western landscapes and public figures, with a particular focus on Colorado. Original images were taken between the 1840s and the 1920s.
Rose & Hopkins photographs of Western landscapes
Collection includes five landscape photographs with images of bears, waterfalls, and other Western scenes. Photographs were taken by Rose and Hopkins. Dated approximately 1890-1909.
Charles M. Russell papers
Collection includes 15 photographs, 74 sketches, 124 postcards, four pamphlets, two newspapers, and 13 placemats with images of cowboys, animals, and scenes of Western life. Dated approximately 1880-1929.
C. R. Savage photograph collection
Contains primarily original prints of photographs by Savage, covering all periods of his career. Of the 839 items, over 750 are clearly Savage photographs. Eighteen other photographers are also named, including Alfred A. Hart, Edw. J. Muybridge, and possibly Carleton E. Watkins photograph. Includes landscapes in Utah and the West, with many in Salt Lake City. Also includes portraits, many of leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with many of Brigham Young.
