Kane family photographs, approximately 1840-1900

Scope and Contents Contains photographs and related materials of the Kane family that were not found in the three-volume family photograph album. These include a steel printing plate of a portrait of Thomas L. Kane in his Civil War uniform, five prints made from that plate, a photograph of George Q. Cannon, and two photographs of unknown people. Materials are largely undated and unlabeled, but presumably date from the mid 19th century to early 20th century.

Scope and Contents Typewritten newsletter telling about McCune family matters and histroy. Also included is a photocopy of a letter signed by the Mormon Apostle George Q. Cannon appointing Matthew McCune to preside over the Dundee conference of the Mormon Church in 1863.

Scope and Contents Materials include Hester Telle Richards diary which she started in 1886 when she was eighteen and apparently living in Monroe, Utah and kept it in August and September of that year. Also included are miscellaneous notes and observations including class notes from a geography course. Dated 1886-1901.

Scope and Contents Mimeographed copy of a typewritten history. Georgius Cannon writes humorous stories about his ancestors, George and George Q. Cannon, and about other members of his family. The item was "written about 1932 and reedited in 1962."
