Also included are scripts and other materials pertaining to the production of the 1989 motion picture The abyss (directed by James Cameron), which Card used to write the novel of the same name.

Photocopies of typed discourses, testimonies, and other commentary by Dennis Short. He states his disagreemnents with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Joseph Smith, and other church leaders, as well as thoughts on gun ownership. Documents are titled House of Short. Dated approximately 1970-1979.

The photographs were taken by Brad Westwood, Special Collections employee at Brigham Young University, while he was visiting Lloyd Alexander and seeking donation of Alexander's papers to the University.
