Galley proofs of an article by McAllister which was published in the September 1917 issue of the Improvement Era, A Mormon Church periodical. The article explains that Mormon temple ordinances are essential to salvation. The sheets bear holograph corrections and a note by Joseph F. Smith, the 6th president of the Mormon Church. Smith's note suggests that the article be published as a four page tract.

Photocopy of typed speech by Bruce R. McConkie entitled "All are alike unto God." McConkie talks of teaching Mormon doctrine to every nation on earth and bringing as many people as possible unto the Lord.

Typewritten and signed letter addressed to Robert Lee Echols. Smith speculates about the possibility of the Moon being inhabited and offers an opinion about the relationship of the Moon in Mormon theology.

Typescript of a biography of Joseph Smith (1805-1844) by his secretary. Johnson relates his personal observations of Smith and treats many topics relating to the prophet's work and doctrines. Also included is a typescript of a vision by Joseph Eldridge Robinson (1867- ), president of the California Mission for the Mormon Church from 1901-1919, relating to Benjamin Johnson and Joseph Smith.
