Handwritten and signed letter dated 6 Dec. 1863. The item was written in Bear Lake, Idaho and addressed to "Dear Parents." Gifford writes about his experiences in moving to the Bear Lake Valley. He assures his parents that he and his family are doing well. Also included is a fragment of a letter which appears to be in Gifford's hand.
