Hyrum L. Andrus letter
Photocopy of a handwritten letter dated May 17, 1953. Andrus travelled with his wife to visit the location of a home owned by the Mormon prophet Joseph Smith (1805-1844) near the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania. He describes what he saw there and relates stories of the Smith family that were told to him while he was there.
Lorenzo D. Barnes certificate
Handwritten certificate, dated 25 Jan. 1840, and written in West Nantmeal, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Barnes certifies that James Rodeback has been made a priest in the Mormon Church.
Francis P. Dearborn diaries and account books
Handwritten account books and diaries. Dearborn records his financial transactions and his daily activities. The diaries cover the years from 1880 to 1895 in which Dearborn writes about his life in Pennsylvania and Utah.
