Scope and Contents Contains photocopies of E.C. Christensen's diary, play, autograph book, and family photographs. Also contains articles by other family members about E.C.'s life, his pottery business, and family history. Diary about E.C.'s later life is handwritten (1917-1926) and includes transcription. E.C. wrote a play entitled "Det Forste Store Drama" of which a complete version was published on his mission in 1905 and a photocopy included in this collection. The photography, circa 1870-1900,...

Abstract

The collection contains scripts, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and programs relating to various productions for the Hill Cumorah Pageant in New York State, 1937-1968. The correspondence relates specifically to matters of costuming and historical accuracy, while the newspaper clippings include reviews of the pageant and accounts of its history. The materials were compiled by Ira J. Markham.

David R. Roberts scripts

Scope and Contents

Script of pageant calls for a narrator and four characters: Father Adam, Moses, Daniel, and Joseph Smith, each of whom gives a brief synopsis of his life. Each of these prophets tells his own story as found in Mormon scriptures. Roberts wrote this pageant for his Mormon High Priest's Quorum in refutation of the Darwinian theory of evolution.
