Records the daily activities of a young woman in 19th century Utah, including helping her mother, doing chores, and going to church and school. Typewritten biography of Mervyn Bennion. Mervyn was born and raised in Vernon, Utah, attended the U.S. Naval Academy, and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He was the Captain on board the U.S.S. West Virginiaat Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. He was killed in the attack.

It is a history of the author's father, William Rendell Durrant (1877-1951), and her paternal uncle, Walter Henry Fitzgerald Durrant (1876-1952), as well as each man's posterity.
