Includes a 149-page holograph diary kept by Eliza Ann Bennion from 1871 to 1876, while living on the "Bennion Ranch" near Vernon, in Rush Valley, Utah. Records the daily activities of a young woman in 19th century Utah, including helping her mother, doing chores, and going to church and school. She also tells of visits to family members in Taylorsville, Utah. Most entries are brief and recount simple incidents. Typewritten biography of Mervyn Bennion. Mervyn was born and raised in Vernon, Utah, attended the U.S. Naval Academy, and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He was the Captain on board the U.S.S. West Virginia at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. He was killed in the attack.

This collection consists of two family histories written by Verna Durrant Humphries. The largest is 141 leaves and is bound. It is a history of the author's father, William Rendell Durrant (1877-1951), and her paternal uncle, Walter Henry Fitzgerald Durrant (1876-1952), as well as each man's posterity.
