Letter from Pope Sixtus IV to the Republic of Venice indicating that the Pope considered the Republic of Venice too independent from the Catholic church. He mentions his past with the Medici family and justifies his actions by stating he has the power to judge all mankind. Dated 1481.

Bishop of Barcellona letter to King of Spain Philip II
Handwritten letter on parchment addressed to Philip II of Spain from the bishop of Barcellona. The item is a warning to Philip II about certain individuals known at court who are suspected of sympathizing with French protestant groups. The bishop promises to visit philip II to discuss the matter further. The bishop also praises Philip II for his faithfulness to the Catholic Church.

Photocopy of a printed summation of indulgences in Spanish. Also included are photocopies of handwritten notes with the printed item and a partial handwritten transcription of the manuscript. The indulgences were granted by the Holy See to the King of Spain relating to the Provinces of New Spain.

Vatican Security letter to the Army of Philip II
Letter from the security at the Vatican to the army of Philip II. The Church gives the names of people traveling Europe and preaching revolutionary ideas about freedom of religion. The nation of Spain is blessed because of its faith to the church. At the bottom of the document the secretary of Philip II put the King's symbols as a sign of approval. Dated 1563.
