Photocopies of typescripts. File contains excerpts from three documents, all originally compiled by Evans Coleman: "History of the Coleman Family;" "Saint Johns Purchase;" and "Biography of Emma Beck Coleman." These documents were originally compiled between 1938 and 1942, although all of them refer to events either in Missouri during the late 1830s or in Arizona during the 1880s.

Content Description This account of the lives of Arthur and Selena Marrott by Russel Backus draws on a family biography by their daughter, Harriet, while focusing on information from two pocket ledgers that were kept by Arthur. Among other things, Arthur's ledgers identify people in the community with whom the Marrotts cooperated as their farms were being developed on desert land in the area that is now Lindon and Orem, Utah. Photocopies of a handwritten diary and a handwritten autobiography. The diary is in Danish and was written from 1874 to 1875 when Mohr was serving on a mission in Denmark for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Also included is an autobiography written in English. Mohr writes about his early life in Denmark, his conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his life in Tooele, Utah; St. Johns, Arizona; and Logan, Utah.

Photocopy of typescript. Includes a number of letters written to Tenney by such people as Brigham Young (1801-1877), Wilford Woodruff (1807-1898), and John W. Young (1844-1924) concerning the purchase of land at St. Johns, Arizona, for Mormon settlement, missionary work among the Indians, and obtaining work for Mormon settlers by bidding on raliroad contracts. Some of Tenney's replies are also included. Folder also includes typescript copy of Tenney's journal for 1875-1876.
