Don Searle

Typewritten biography of Don Searle with handwritten corrections. Don was a native of Spanish Fork, Utah who attended Brigham Young University from 1935 to 1940. Don served in the Navy during World War II and worked as a broadcast journalist. He was killed in an automobile accident in 1946 before he turned 29 years old. Clark attended Brigham Young University with Searle and relates what student life was like at that institution in the 1930s.

Willard got his Ph.D. in physics at the University of California at Berkeley and later on joined the Utah State University Physics Department where he worked on the theoretical and experimental interpretation of soil moisture phenomena.

Ole attended Brigham Young Academy, taught school in various places in Utah, and eventually settled in Salt Lake City, Utah to work as a businessman. His wife Annie May Perry Harris was born in Provo, Utah in 1876 and married Ole in 1901.
