Handwritten journal listing the names of Mormons convicted of polygamy from 3 November 1884 through 24 December 1888. The names are organized by date of conviction and levied fines are noted. Accompanying the journal is an alphabetical listing and seventeen photostat prints of the original document.

George Reynolds letters

Photocopies of handwritten letters addressed to Reynolds' wife Amelia. These items were written when Reynolds was in the Utah territorial penitentary for polygamy. Reynolds writes about conditions in the prison and of his desires to receive visitors.

George Reynolds letters

Handwritten and signed letters to his wife, Amelia. Twenty-eight itmes were written from 1879-1881 in the Utah Peniteniary while Reynolds was serving a two-year sentence for polygamy. Reynolds tells about prison life, reaffirms his dedication to the Mormon faith, and discusses family matters.

Baldwin Harvey Watts diary and prison papers

Scope and Contents Handwritten diary and prison records. Watts kept the diary while serving on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Bristol, England, area in 1875. Also included are records relating to Watts' incarceration in the Utah prison for polygamy in 1888. Watts compiled a list of 668 men imprisoned for polygamy from 1884 to 1889. He included the date of sentencing, the length of the sentence, and the age of the prisoners. He also lists each man's home town. Also...
