Contains letter from a non-Mormon merchant in Fillmore, Utah, to his sister. Describes living among the Mormons and details about the city of Fillmore, Utah. Includes a small hand-sketched map of the city and the location of his store. Signed "Joe." Dated February 23, 1855.

Reuben McBride letters received
Photocopy of handwritten letters dated 18 and 22 June 1851. The items were composed in Kirtland, Ohio. The material is a letter composed by four different persons who were all members of the same family, each with the last name of McBride. The members of the McBride family write to Reuben about family matters and try to convince him to return to Kirtland. The addressee appears to be Reuben Augustus McBride of Fillmore, Utah.
Biography of Alexander Melville
Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten autobiography. Melville was born in Scotland in 1821, worked on a ship that hunted whales, lived in Nauvoo, Illinois, and migrated to Utah in 1852. He lived in Provo, Utah, campaigned against Utah Indians in 1853, and settled in Fillmore, Utah. He died in 1911.
