Scope and Contents Contains information and histories of L. DeWayne Young and fellow folk dancers. Materials include periodicals, biographical information from various resources, festival handouts, newsletters, articles, and other materials. Aside from Young, Yvtautas F. Beliajus, Dick Crumb and Mary B. Jensen are also highlighted within the collection. There is information regarding several other persons as well, including an autographed portrait of Paul Badura-Skoda. Dates range from approximately 1941-2010.

Scope and Contents Young was one of Brigham Young University’s Folk Dancers. These materials reflect his time as a dancer, and also the director of the BYU Women’s Dance Group. There are programs, newspapers clippings, 1959 Montana tour itineraries, posters, and a typed history of the BYU Women’s Dance Group. Young appears in programs as both a student and alumni. The posters feature Young, and advertise the 1968 European Folk Festivals Tour. Dates range 1959-1979.
