George Washington Brown autobiography
Photocopy of a typewritten autobiography. Brown writes about his early life and travels. He tells about going to California in 1849 to participate in the gold rush, about encounters between whites and Indians in Texas, and about his life in that state.

Primary source materials relating to the New Southwest part of the United States including the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah.
