The materials include instruction, testimony, and mission progress and statistics.

Scope and Contents Diaries (1893, 1940, 1943, and 1945), correspondence (1892-1947), reports of the Southern States Mission (1908-1934), sermons, articles, personal certificates, speeches, patriarchal blessings, and miscellaneous items. These materials deal with a wide range of Mormon theological and administrative issues. They also deal with personal and family matters.

Thomas Callister diary

Scope and Contents Typescript of a diary kept from October 5-25, 1875 when Callister was called on a mission to Europe for the Mormon Church. He writes about his preparations to leave his home in Fillmore, Utah. Also included is a typed copy of a funeral address given by Chief Kanosh of the Pahvant Utes when Callister died in 1880.

Calvin Harris Chandler missionary journals

Scope and Contents Collection consists of four missionary journals and two missionary report books, kept while Calvin was serving in the Southwestern States Mission from May 1899 to July 1901. Also includes one transcript of the journals by Alan C. Chandler, and two digital reproductions of photographs. The photographs are of the Southwestern States Missionaries, ca. 1900, and of Elder Chandler with an unidentified couple somewhere in Texas.

Scope and Contents note The collection contains Campbell's original handwritten journal where he describes his missionary experiences in Scotland; emigration to Nauvoo, Illinois; experiences traveling to Utah as a Mormon pioneer; and duties as a Mormon Church leader. Dated 1843-1848. Campbell also added to the end of his journal handwritten transcriptions of his missionary certificate, his appointment to the Glasgow Conference, and a letter to the Church in Wales from Franklin D.
