The folder contains a handwritten list of the dollar amounts of tithing paid by the various wards of the St. George Stake in 1883.
John Henry Standifird papers
Handwritten diaries and letters. Standifird writes about his life in Bountiful, St. George, Kanab, Panguitch, Manti, and Moab, Utah. He also lived in Taylor and Alpine, Arizona. He gives information on the Utah Expedition, 1857-1858, his work on the St. George and Manti temples, his mission for the Mormon Church in Missouri, and his daily life in Utah.
William Wilson Sterrett journal
Handwritten journal accompanied by its photocopy, along with Simeon R. Sterrett's typewritten missionary blessing and its photocopy. The journal describes W. W. Sterrett's mission, how an Indian chief, Black Pine, saved his life, and also contains his family's genealogy, a record of temple ordinances, and copies of patriarchal blessings.
Oscar Orlando Stoddard diary
Photocopies of a handwritten diary by Orson O. Stoddard and a handwritten history of the Stoddard family. Also included is a typescript of the diary. Orson's diary focuses on his experiences while serving on a mission for the Mormon Church in Michigan in 1856 and 1857. The family history was composed in 1897 by an unknown author.
W. Melvin Strong papers
Phtocopies of letters, speeches, certificates, program outlines, biographical sketches, and jokes that have been bound into a book. The materials deal with Strong's life and career as an educator. Strong was active in the Mormon Church and served on a mission for that faith in Tahiti. Also included is a book by Strong entitled: "What do you Think?" with a handwritten dedication in the front.
Peter Stubbs autobiography
Typewritten autobiography. Stubbs joined the Mormon Church in 1840, worked as a baker in England, migrated to Utah in 1853, witnessed a grasshopper plague in American Fork, Utah, and experienced an Indian attack at a fort in 1855 near Moab, Utah.
Joseph William Summerhays diaries
Handwritten diaries and one typescript page of a diary entry from Joseph William Summerhays. Summerhays relates his activities while visiting Latter-day Saint historic landmarks while on a business trip to the Midwest and Eastern United States. Materials dated August 1884 to September 1885.

Photocopies of typed newsletters. The items were produced for the Joseph Taylor Family Organization. The materials contain a biography of Joseph Taylor, patriarchal blessings from the Mormon Church, and genealogies of the Taylor family.

Mimeographed copy of a typewritten history. Georgius Cannon writes humorous stories about his ancestors, George and George Q. Cannon, and about other members of his family. The item was "written about 1932 and reedited in 1962."
Tenth Ward Lumber and Building Association extracts of minutes
Handwritten extracts of minutes of meetings of the Tenth Ward Lumber and Building Association. The item is addressed to attorneys Ferguson and Cannon and requests arbitration in a land dispute between the Tenth Ward Lumber and Building Association and the Tenth Ward Cooperative Mercantile Industries. The item was transcribed by Rodney Hillam, Jr. (1870- ), Secretary for the Tenth Ward Lumber and Building Association.
