Also included are diaries by James Smithies (1807-1879) and John Scott (1811-1876). Smithies' diary covers the years from 1846 to 1847 when he migrated to Utah. Scott's diary covers the years from 1855 to 1856 when he was serving on a mission in Great Britain for the Mormon Church.
