This series contains the scores and entries of the winners of the Barlow Endowment. This includes final products of the scores, other competition related materials, and a digital scan of most of the scores. There is an entry for every winner. Ebenezer Beesley papers

Identifier: MSS 1745
Scope and Contents Mormon hymn books, musical scores, newspaper clippings, a short autobiography, a biography, and letters. Also included is a photostat copy of a handwritten list of passangers on the William Tapscott in 1859. The Mormons on the ship later formed the George Rowley handcart company which emigrated to Utah in 1859. Also included is a typescript of a diary by an unnamed person describing the journey to Utah with the Rowley company. This is transcription from the Journal History of the Church...

Simeon Bellison papers

Scope and Contents

Includes microfilm reels comprised of Bellison's manuscripts and printed music scores, scores and manuscripts of other composers that were collected by Bellison, and articles Bellison has written. The collection also includes an English and a Russian copy of his novel "Jivoglot," a Russian draft of the novel, and other material on Bellison, 1910-1953.
