Shaw interviewed men and women from Utah and from other states to see if Mormon wedding traditions stayed the same, or if the cultural things she noticed were simply Utah traditions. Project was created for Dr. Eliason's English 368 course taught at Brigham Young University in 2000.
Traditions surrounding pointe shoes / Rachel Barney, 1997
Barney collected traditions practiced by dancers with their pointe shoes. Included are the traditions of strengthening feet by wrapping them in masking tape, adding elastic to ensure a more secure shoe, and the belief that the famous ballerina Pavlova had a secret process for preparing her shoes that gave her superior balance. The project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.

Danny Ogle collected personal narratives of traffic citations. Included are stories of people who avoided tickets due to sympathetic policemen or quick thinking, as well as people who didn't avoid the tickets. Project was written for an English 392 class taught at Brigham Young University during Winter semester 1991.

Traffic ticket excuses : the officers, the violators, and continuity / Spencer S. Adams, 1998
Adams, a BYU traffic officer, interviewed his coworkers, and retold stories from work about the reasons people had been ticketed, and the ways that the ticketed person had tried to get out of the ticket. Project was created for Dr. Rudy's English 392 course taught at Brigham Young University in 1998.

Includes a 19 item collection of band tragedy stories, including "fallen tuba," "broken saxophone," "ransom note," "whacked flautist," and others.
