Johnson collected folklore surrounding the kappa, a malevolent creature said to inhabit the rivers of Japan. The transcript of the e-mails between the author, Keith Johnson, and his informant, Kageyama Hikari, include stories of the origin of the kappa, incidents of kappa attacks, and how to outsmart a kappa. The project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.

Forsyth interviewed middle and high school aged girls about their beliefs in unicorns. Included are the girl's beliefs in the appearance of unicorns, whether they are real, and other folk beliefs about taming the creatures. Scope and Contents note Pond examines the earthquake related knowledge of children, ages five to twelve years, from Sunset Elementary School in Provo, Utah. Through the replies given by these children, Pond discusses the effectiveness of current earthquake drilling as adequate preparation for children should a real earthquake occur. Skanchy collected folklore surrounding the group of interns from Brigham Young University who visited Washington D.C. in 2010. Included are interviews describing why students decided to participate in the program, and traditions such as paddleboating, eating at La Madeline restaurant, and visiting New York. The project was collected for an English 392 class taught by Dr. Jill Rudy at Brigham Young University in 2010.

Scope and Contents note This project is a collection of personal narratives about food and memory, discussing the correlation between men, stories of pain, and their comfort food. The analysis notes how certain foods have come to be associated with certain types of pain or illness. Also comments on the effects of sensory memory on recording information in the sensory system, or in this case, taste.
