Lyman F. Smart political files
Correspondence with Utah and Idaho congressional leaders, local and national Democratic party officers, and other national leaders. Also included are political files of Smart while serving as an officer in state and county Democratic Party organizations in Utah and as vice-president of the Young Democrats Club of Utah, 1958-1964.
Samuel R. Redfield correspondence
Includes letter to him and his wife, Sally, from their daughter, Orpha M. Everett, in Salt Lake City, dated 28 February 1855. She discusses interference of the federal government in Utah affairs, and defends the Mormon practice of plural marriage. Also includes two letters by Samuel, 12 and 13 June 1858, addressed to John H. Redfield, giving family genealogical data. The 1858 letters appear to be in response to specific questions.
Willard Richards letter
One handwritten letter addressed to the U. S. House of Representatives. Richards wants the committee on petitions of Utah to meet the "Committee on the subject of memorializing the Secretary of War on regard to the exploration of a Route across the Western Desert."
Vernon Romney papers

Collection includes personal, family and political correspondence, newsclippings regarding political activities, addresses, and documents relating to Romney's activities with the Utah State and American Bar Associations, Beneficial Life Insurance Company, State Savings and Loan Association, the wool marketing industry and the George Washington University Alumni Association.
Salt Lake City election tickets
The folder contains a printed election ticket for Salt Lake City, Utah in 1860 and a State of Deseret People's ticket for Salt Lake County, Utah in 1868. These items list candidates for various city and county offices.
John E. Smith correspondence
Typewritten of official and personal correspondence. The personal correspondence relates to Smith's interest in the Mormon Church. The official correspondence relates to Smith's attempts to get child-abuse legislation passed in the Utah State Legislature.

Photocopies of handwritten and signed letters. The items were written from Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri and were addressed to "Cousin" Samuel H. B. Smith. The materials relate to the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to politics in Utah.
