Overview Two page letter from Susan Ertz to the editor of the Boston Evening Transcript. Ertz wrote the letter in response to comments that had been made in the paper because of her book “The Proselyte” about Mormons. She addresses what she feels are the problems with many books about Mormons and says that there are only a few which are worth reading, which she names. Dated 1933.

Scope and Contents Handwritten poems and songs. Also included is a biography of Evans written by his granddaughter, Grace McLachlan Foxley, in 1940. The dating of the songs and poems is uncertain. At least one was written when Evans was on his mission in Liverpool, England.

Scope and Contents One notebook with handwritten items in it. It includes poems by Pratt and his wife Belinda Marden Pratt. One poem deals with the martyrdom of the Mormon Prophet, Joseph Smith (1805-1844). Also included are financial records. Likely produced in Utah, although no locations are identified. Dated 1847.
