George H. Butler diary
Two copies of a photocopied and handwritten diary kept while Butler was serving as a missionary for the Mormon Church in England. Butler writes about his daily activities; the death of his brother William, who was also serving on a mission to England at the same time; and his proposal to Rosanna Clack and subsequent marriage to her.
Henry Harvey Butler diary
This collection consists of photocopies of a typed copy of Butler's missionary diary. The record has been edited to complete fragmentary words and improve spelling errors. Butler's entries were often lengthy and detailed. He recounts his spiritural experiences, confrontations with anti-Mormon mobs and individuals, and other activities as a missionary.
John M. Butler address
Materials include a typed address delivered by John M. Butler at the Centerville Second Ward on October 7, 1936. The address pertains to his personal family history, and specifically the story of Ellen Hancock Burns MacDuff, who immigrated from England to the United States and travelled to Utah with the Mormon Pioneers.

The materials document William Butt's life in Lehi, Utah, and his service as a missionary for the Mormon Church to the Northern States.

Photocopies of handwritten and typed copies of correspondence. Butterfield writes to his mother and other family members. Butterfield writes about his missionary work for the Mormon Church in Missouri; his association and employment with Joseph Smith, the first president of the Mormon Church; and his life in Missouri, Illinois, and Missouri. He also writes about his service with the Mormon Battalion. Also included is a biography of Abel Butterfield.

Edwin Cadwell letter
Handwritten and signed letter, dated 1 March 1847, and addressed to Thomas Dutcher of Garrettsville, Ohio. Cadwell writes about family matters and criticises Mormons in Nauvoo, Illinois, for not having the right spirit.
Asa S. Calkins diary
Holograph diary which contains blessings given to Calkins in 1850, experiences as a worker in the Mission home and as Mission President, letters received from Brigham Young and family, and letters sent to Brigham Young and family. A short biography is included with the diary.
