William Whitaker sketches of university presidents
Contains pencil sketches of all of the presidents of Brigham Young Academy and Brigham Young University from Warren N. Dusenberry to Rex E. Lee created by William Whitaker. Each of these are framed for housing purposes. The date of production of materials is 1996.
Alvin Bryon White papers
Contains journals, photographs, and other material relating to White's mission in England from 1913 to 1915. Also contains photographs and other material from the White and Thorup family, dated from 1905 to 1960.
Charles H. White and John Francis Perkins journals
The collection contains six journals of Charles H. White beginning on May 17, 1899 - March 5, 1901, plus one missionary notebook. It also contains one volume of the Southern States Mission Journal of John Francis Perkins, July 14, 1899 - June 11, 1900, and two copies of Perkins' missionary blessing given by President Seymour B. Young.
Claude L. White papers
Correspondence, diaries, a play script, and a missionary tracting book. The materials relate to White's activities as a missionary for the Mormon Church in the Northwestern States Mission from 1915 to 1917. The diaries are for the years from 1915 to 1916 and for 1963. Most of the correspondence are between White and family members, but some are also with Melvin J. Ballard, a Mormon official who became an apostle in 1919.
White horse prophecy
Handwritten prophecy supposedly related by John J. Roberts and Edwin Rushton in 1843 by Joseph Smith, first president of the Mormon Church, and written down some time later. The item is called the "White Horse Prophecy" or the "Horse Shoe Prophecy." The dating of the item is uncertain.
Edward D. Whiting diary
Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a handwritten diary. Whiting writes about his mission to the Eastern States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1898 to 1900. He describes his daily activities and the nature of the work.
Thomas Farrar Whitley missionary diaries
The Thomas Farrar Whitley missionary diaries, 1935-1938 includes the diary typescript. The typescript includes an introduction containing biographical information about Whitley and historical background about Tonga.
David Whitmer letter
Photocopy of a handwritten letter. Whitmer writes to a Robert Nelson affirming that he did see an angel as it states in the introduction to the Book of Mormon. Whitmer states that "the Book is true."
Newel Kimball Whitney certificate
Photocopy of a printed and handwritten certificate dated July 1838. The item affirms that Whitney was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
