Collection contains photographs taken by Reinhart Kowallis during his service in and after WWII in the United States Army from 1940 to 1946, and letters between Reinhart and Norma Kowallis from 1944 to 1945 while Reinhart was deployed during World War II. Typescipt of an interview taken from the included audiocassette. The interview as conducted by Richard Weeks on 3 Feb. 1985. Clyde E. Weeks talks about his youth and about his decision to join the Marine Corps at age 17. He describes his training and his experiences in combat while attacking three different islands in the Pacific. One of the islands was Guam.
