Melinda Richards collection on Russian composers
Collection was created as part of the research done by Melinda Richards for her honors thesis entitled, "Musical Life in Post-Soviet St. Petersburg as Seen Through Composer's Eyes," completed at Brigham Young University. The collection spans the dates 1984 to 1996 and contains pamphlets of Russian composers that include a brief biography and list of composer's main works, as well as audiotapes of composer interviews and music recordings.

Collection consists of published scores with accompanying manuscripts and/or photocopies of many of Robertson's works, as well as computer-burned sound recordings and a typewritten draft copy of Wilson's book, "Leroy Robertson: Music Giant from the Rockies," with annotations, circa 1930-2007.

Typed copy of the book manuscript, "Leroy Robertson," a noted musical composer, which was written by his daughter. The item describes Robertson's life and works, including his teaching in the music department of Brigham Young University (1925-1948) and the University of Utah (1948-1965) and his involvement with music in the Mormon Church. Also included is a published copy of the book signed by the author.

The materials deal with Robinson's dancing, music, and educational careers. The diaries are in six volumes and relate to Robinson's mission for the Mormon Church in Colorado.
