Contains early manuscript copies of more than twenty revelations, all but two of which have since been published in the Doctrine and Covenants. Seven of these these are addressed to Whitney, either mentioning him in a priesthood role or giving him instructions. Materials date from between 1829 and 1847.

His mother supposedly got the information from the third president of the Mormon Church, John Taylor (1808-1887). Sometimes called the "Horseshoe Prophecy" the revelation states that there would be a major falling away from the leadership of the Mormon Church, that blood would run in the gutters of Salt Lake City, Utah, and that the faithful Mormons...
