Materials contain a chapter of Alma Heaton's memoir entitled "Army Experiences", as well as two cassette tapes in which Heaton is interviewed by Don Norton. In the memoir, Heaton talks about being deferred from the draft because his father was dead and later volunteering for the Army. Dunford relates his experience disposing of a truckload of munitions when several tons of ordnance exploded, killing over twenty-five soldiers and civilians. Dated 1945.
