Bruce A. Van Orden collection of life histories
Contains copies of life histories written by international members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and collected in 1995 by Van Orden during his work as a professor of religion at Brigham Young University. The histories contain accounts and information about conversion, emigration from other countries to Utah, and polygamy. Materials collected in 1995.

Materials contain a memoir outlining the military experiences of Verl Thomas Jacob in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943-1946. Describes his training and duties in a tank destroyer combat unit. Includes is Jacob's account of meeting the first Russian units in the heart of Germany. Photograph shows Jacob driving his truck in military dress. Dated 1943-1946, approximately 2000.

Vern C. Bloxham memoir and poem, approximately 2000
File contains materials relating to the service of Vern C. Bloxham for the U.S. Army during World War II. Materials contain summary of Vern C. Bloxham's combat experiences on Okinawa in 1945 in which he was severely wounded, and his narrow escapes from death. There is also a poem written by Bloxham titled "Going Over" (written Feb. 18, 1945). Dated approximately 2000.

Materials contain a memoir written by Verna Stephens Long about her experiences during World War II. She tells of working as an airplane engine mechanic at Hill Air Force Base, learning of the deaths of two of her brothers in Europe, and visiting American military cemeteries in Europe fifty years later. She includes poems written by her mother, Angelena VanDallen Stephens. Contains copied photographs of her mother and brothers. Dated 1999.

Materials contain the second chapter of Vernon B. Romney's autobiography. He describes all of the training that he had to go through while being in the U.S. Army. He also describes the spiritual experiences that he had. Much of the information comes from his diary which he kept nearly every day of his service. The rest is filled in with memories and experiences. Dated approximately 2000.
