Ghost cemetery of Andrew Carpenter / Deborah Hayman, 1977 April 13

Scope and Contents note Report by Brigham Young University folklore student Deborah Hayman, who collected information from Chris Kjelgaard. Two friends camp out in the cemetery where Andrew Carpenter is buried. They hear noises outside their tent at night, but don't have a flashlight, so stay inside. In the morning they find their gear scattered all over the camp and a heavy sleeping bag thrown up into the high branches of a tree.

Ghost in the graveyard / Sandra Tom, 1978

Scope and Contents note Report by Utah State University folklore student Sandra Tom, who collected information from Roberta Grahm. A couple passing through the graveyard see an epitaph which reads 'A headless man travels far', and take soemthing from the headstone. A headless figure, dripping blood from the neck and dressed in white, appears and chants the same line over and over. The couple runs home, but die the following evening when their heads are severed in a car accident.

Scope and Contents note Report by Lisa Malmstrom. A boy stops on his way home to watch a train wreck being cleared. Afterwards he continues walking home, but hears footsteps behind him. He sees a bright red light hanging over him. and runs the rest of the way home. He tells his father, who checks outside, but is unable to find anything.

Scope and Contents note Report by Utah State University folklore student Diana Romney. While driving along Crestwood in Kaysville, you can see a gravestone toward the northeast corner of the graveyard that appears to be glowing a flourescent green color.
