The value of a kiss : a comparison of first kiss and first spouse kiss stories, 2007
Item is a collection of first kiss stories and how they vary from the first time the wedded interviewee kissed his or her spouse. Includes four married couples telling of there individual first kisses, and then how they compared to the first kiss that they shared as a couple. Created for Dr. Rudy's English 392 course taught at Brigham Young University during the Winter Semester, 2007.

Dayna Bunnell collected information about the 19th century Variwood Farm Creamery in Lakeview, Utah. Included are descriptions of the structure, the process of milk separation and butter making, and and a description of the community of Lakeview at the time of the Variwood Farm Creamery. Project was written for an Anthropology 390R class taught by Pamela Blakely at Brigham Young University during Spring semester 1984.
The verbal lore of Edward Bleak Powell : why which stories are told when / Kim M. Thompson, 1995
Kim M. Thompson transcribed and analyzed an interview conducted by her sister, Sage Marie Thompson, with her grandfather, Edward Bleak Powell. Included are stories about the informant's homestead, service in the Civilian Conservation Corps, the informant's ancestors, stories from his mission, and his courtship and marriage to his wife, Evelyn.
The vibes : narrative collection / Gavin McCaleb, 1998
McCaleb writes about non-verbal communication. Includes sending "vibes" for other people to pick up, catching the non-verbal cues from someone else, and situations that would not have worked out without the "vibes". Project was created for an English 356 class at Brigham Young University in 1998.

The villainous philanthrope : a survey of kappa lore in ancient Japan / Keith Johnson, 1997
Johnson collected folklore surrounding the kappa, a malevolent creature said to inhabit the rivers of Japan. The transcript of the e-mails between the author, Keith Johnson, and his informant, Kageyama Hikari, include stories of the origin of the kappa, incidents of kappa attacks, and how to outsmart a kappa. The project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.
The vindication of the virgins : a collection of unicorn beliefs held by adolescent girls / Emma Forsyth, 1999
Forsyth interviewed middle and high school aged girls about their beliefs in unicorns. Included are the girl's beliefs in the appearance of unicorns, whether they are real, and other folk beliefs about taming the creatures. Project was created for Dr. Thursby's English 495 course taught at Brigham Young University in 1999.

Evans studies the comfort foods prepared and eaten among her family members. She discusses the emotional value of these foods and explains that comfort foods define group identity. Fletcher interviewed past residents of the now gone Sunnyside, Utah to find out about the town, its purpose and its disappearance. Included are stories about Sunnyside's origins, how it got the name, the layout of the town, the inhabitants of the town, legends about Sunnyside, folk beliefs from the area, and the towns disintegration. Project was created for an English 391 course taught at Brigham Young University in 1972.
