Scope and Contents Series contains various family correspondence, including personal letters of the Thomas and Caroline Cottam family, and those of Casper and Agnes Gubler. These letters date from 1849 to 1930. Also contains historical family information for the McArthur, Gubler, Cottam, Jarvis, and Horsley families. The remainder of the series includes Moroni McArthur's missionary journals, family and friend photographs and scrapbooks, and oral histories recorded on tape reels and cassette tapes.

A portion of this family history work, including family albums and some scrapbooks, was completed by Emma Jarvis Cottam McArthur, the mother of Nellie Gubler.
