Abstract

The collection contains materials gathered into four main series: (1) student and research files on Mormon women's history; (2) class notes; (3) personal files reflecting university and professional committees she served on; and (4) her personal research and address files. The addendum contains research files collected Maureen Ursenbach Beecher as well as materials from an English class.

Scope and Contents

Speeches, meeting minutes, reports, correspondence, newspaper clippings, magazine articles, and miscellaneous items. The materials relate to Bennion's personal, educational, business, and religious activities. The largest amount of the materials relate to his speeches. The bulk of correspondence is between other apostles and general authorities of the Mormon Church.

Scope and Contents Collection includes handwritten and typewritten correspondence, newsclippings (photocopies), financial reports and budgets, certificates, documents, poems, articles and speeches concerning his education, career, Church assignments, business pursuits, genealogy and personal and family history.
