Joseph Smith, Jr. bonds
Photocopies of handwritten and signed bonds. Three of the items are signed by Smith, date form 1839 and 1841, and relate to purchases of property in Nauvoo, Illinois. The fourth item is dated 27 Sept. 1845 and deals with Nathaniel Whiting transferring property.
Biography of Charles Ambrose Foster
Typewritten research paper for a Religion 242 class at Brigham Young University taught by "Bro. Porter." Cosman writes about the role played by Charles A. Foster and his brother, Robert Foster, in the murder of the first president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Joseph Smith (1805-1844). Charles Foster later became mayor of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and was the director of two hospitals.

Robert Filmore letter
Photocopy of a handwritten and signed letter, dated 6 July 1844, and composed in Warren County, Illinois. Filmore writes to "dear children" and tells them about the murder of the first president of the Mormon Church, Joseph Smith, and his brother Hyrum. He also speaks about the Mormon temple in Nauvoo, Illinois.

Photocopy of a handwritten and signed legal document. The item relates to the estate of the first president of the Mormon Church, Joseph Smith.
T. Earl Pardoe scrapbook
Christmas cards glued into a scrapbook. There are about a hundred of these items in the book. These cards were received by Pardoe from 1959 to 1961 and were signed by various friends and associates including David O. McKay, president of the Mormon Church, and J. Reuben Clark, an Apostle in the Mormon Church.
Joseph Smith, Jr. agreement with Martin Harris
Photocopy of a handwritten and signed agreement dated 16 Jan. 1830 in Manchester, New York. Smith authorizes Martin Harris to sell copies of the Book of Mormon. The item was witnessed by Oliver Cowdery.
Joseph Bates Noble papers
Handwritten letters, deeds, histories, newspaper clippings, and an autograph album. Family papers include an autograph album owned by Noble's wife, Mary Beeman Bates, which includes a prophecy by Wilford Woodruff about the end of the world. Also included are property deeds on a lot in Nauvoo, Illinois, and a bishop's court document from 1848 in Salt Lake City, Utah, which involves a dispute over foodsuffs in payment for services.
Church business card
The folder contains a printed and signed business card from 1884. The item authorizes the transmission of messages relating to the business of the Mormon Church. The item was signed by John Taylor, third president of the Mormon Church.
The gospel vision of the arts
Typewritten copy of a speech. Kimball states the importance of the arts and improving the talents of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The date of the item is uncertain.
