Typewritten and bound transcript of an interview conducted by Robert G. Larson for the LDS Asian-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 7, 9, 19 October 1992 and 29 July 1993. Nonnarath tells about growing up in Laos, his military career in that country, his incarceration following the takeover by the communists, his conversion to the Mormon religion, and his life in Oakland, California.

Charles Ursenbach collection

The collection contains additional diaries of Charles Ursenbach for the years 1923,1926,1970,1977, and 1978 (all of which are pocket-size); a copy of "A Collection of Hymns For the Use of People Called Bible Christians;" a photograph of Charles Ursenbach with other Latter-day Saint missionaries in Montreal, 1926; and genealogical information on the Ursenbach family and "My Story" by Maureen Ursenbach Beecher, written in October 1957.

Spanish Fork Theatrical and Building Association memento

Collection contains handwritten manuscripts describing the proposal to build a theater in Spanish Fork, Utah, including a call for subscriptions; a list of the subscribers and amounts pledged; a description of the lot acquired; and that this "memento" and a copy of a Tullidge's Magazine article of Spanish Fork were going to be placed in the cornerstone of the building, dated July 19, 1884. Also includes typed transcript of manuscript.

Ethel Johnson Lewellen journals

Materials include transcriptions of the journals of Ethel Johnson Lewellen. Journals contain excerpts of her financial records, daily activities, and grocery lists, and document her daily life and community events. Oral history interview with Wanda Whatcott Johnson

Abstract

This is the personal history of Wanda Whatcott Johnson which was created from an oral history interview conducted by Don Norton in 1980. Later, the family created this 188 page manuscript and a copy was given to Norton in 1987. Norton states in his letter that this history’s value is in that it shows Johnson, who was mostly deaf, learning to read lips and impressing hearing specialists.

Contains an audiocassette tape of a talk recorded September 10, 1988 given by Algie Ballif Marcus. It also has a typed copy of an oral history interview with Don C. Pierce regarding his early childhood in Salem, Utah, conducted by Helen and Henry Stark. There is a photograph of Elder Thaddeus Harvey Cluff as well as the bound memorial entitled "A Collection in Memory of Henry M. Stark."
