Ben Bahlmann interview with Courtney R. Daniels

Scope and Contents Typescript of an interview conducted by Ben Bahlmann on 17 Jan. 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bahlmann retained the audiocassettes from which the typescript was made. Daniels joined the military shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was made a pilot and flew combat missions from England over other parts of Europe. He also dropped food for the hungry people of Holland.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typescript. The item is "extracts from missionary experiences. Copied from original diary owned by Delbert Bigler, Provo, Utah." The extracts start in 1853 when Bigler was on a mission for the Mormon Church in Hawaii. He writes about a smallpox epidemic and missionary experiences. He returned to Utah in 1855. Scope and Contents Typescript of an autobiography. Moon was born in Lancashire, England, converted to Mormonism with his parents, came to Nauvoo, Illinois, migrated to Utah in 1848, moved to St. George, Utah, in 1861, and relocated to Farmington, Utah, in 1866.

Scope and Contents Collection contains a handwritten diary. Except for a few pages, the item covers the years 1875-1877 when Brown served as a Mormon missionary in England. Brown was living in St. George, Utah when called as a missionary. He describes his trip to and from England and his daily activities there. Dated 1875-1880.

Scope and Contents note The collection contains Campbell's original handwritten journal where he describes his missionary experiences in Scotland; emigration to Nauvoo, Illinois; experiences traveling to Utah as a Mormon pioneer; and duties as a Mormon Church leader. Dated 1843-1848. Campbell also added to the end of his journal handwritten transcriptions of his missionary certificate, his appointment to the Glasgow Conference, and a letter to the Church in Wales from Franklin D.
