Ole H. Berg biographies

Scope and Contents
Typewritten biographies and an autobiography. Jenkins writes a biography of Ole Hendrick Berg (1840-1919). Berg was a convert to the Mormon Church in Norwary who migrated to Utah in 1866. He settled in St. George, Utah. Also included is a two-page autobiography by Berg written in 1892.

James Lovett Bunting diaries and Bunting family directory

Scope and Contents
Photocopies of the handwritten Bunting diaries (MSS 738). The originals have been restricted and are unavailable for patron use. The diaries include accounts of missionary work in Great Britain for the Mormon faith and describe life in Kanab and St. George, Utah. The diaries cover the years from 1857 to 1920 but have several gaps. Also included is a Bunting family directory from the year 1968.

William John Benbow Carter diaries

Photocopies of handwritten diaries, certificates, patriarchal blessings, and biographies. The diaries were kept while Carter served on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England and while he lived in St. George, Utah. The biographies are of family members.

William John Benbow Carter diary

Handwritten diary. The record covers from March to July in 1879 when Carter was returning from his mission to England by ship and by rail. Also included are entries for February and March 1882 starting when Carter married Lottie R. Smith in St. George, Utah.

The folder contains a handwritten letter dated 5 May 1884 and addressed to Clara Jane Riding. Cort informs Riding that he would strike her name from the list of registered voters if she did not come to the court house and take the appropriate oath against the practice of "bigamy."

Fawcett was born in England, joined the Mormon Church in 1840, migrated to Utah in 1850, and settled in St. George, Utah where he served as a Mormon bishop. Ann Prior Jarvis autobiographies and a biography

Two handwritten autobiographies, a biography of George Jarvis (1823-1913), miscellaneous materials, and photocopies of these items. Ann was born in England and married George Jarvis at age sixteen. She and George were converted to the Mormon Church in 1848. George worked as a sailor to earn money for the journey to Utah. Handwritten and typewritten biographies, diaries, newspaper clippings, and family genealogical records. Included are biographies of Benjamin F. Johnson (1818-1905), Joel Hill Johnson (1802-1882), and Seth Johnson (1839-1927). The Johnson family joined the Mormon Church in the 1830s, lived in Nauvoo, Illinois, and later migrated to Utah where they settled in various communities.
