Oliver Boardman Huntington autobiography

Scope and Contents Handwritten unsigned, autobiographical account believed to have been written by Huntington. The author writes of being called by Brigham Young and Daniel H. Wells to go with an expedition to Carson Valley and tell the Mormons there to return to Utah to meet the United States army, known as "Johnston's Army" in 1857. Huntington gives and account of this expedition and mentions those who participated in it.

Scope and Contents One handwritten letter to Frank Fuller, acting governor of Utah, regarding two acts of the Utah legislature. The acts were a "Memorial to Congress for semi-weekly mail service from Fillmore to San Bernadino, Cal." and a "Memorial to Congress for an Act authorizing treaties with Indians, and the extinguishment of the Indian titles." These items were forwarded to Fuller for his "action."
