Scope and Contents Typescript of a biography of Artemesia Draper Anderson. Anderson was born and grew up in Moroni, Utah, where she married, raised her children, and supplemented her family income through midwifery. In 1891 she became one of Utah's first licensed practical nurses.

Scope and Contents An ancient medical textbook originally written in Sanskrit circa 400 AD and transcribed into Malayalam on palm leaves, circa 18th or 19th century. Consists of 100 leaves, 2 by 18 inches. Leaves one, two, and one hundred are blank, all others contain text written in small, neat hand in Malayalam, the Indian language spoken in Kerala. The manuscript is protected by two wooden teak boards and encased in a burlap bag.

Scope and Contents Typed copies of a one-paragraph biography of Gunnell and of her obituary. Emma B. Gunnell was in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps from 1943 to 1963. She served in field hospitals in Europe and in the Philippines. During the Korean War, she served in Hawaii. Gunnell achieved the rank of major.
