Marriages solemnized by John Whitmer in Caldwell Co. state of Missouri

Scope and Contents Handwritten list dated 14 May and 25 June 1837. The item is a record of two marriages performed by John Whitmer, an early Mormon Church leader and one of the "Eight Witnesses" to the authenticity of the Book of Mormon. The marriages were between Willard Snow and Malvina Harvy and John H. Zimmar and Elisa Jackson.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a handwritten list of those attending meetings dated 27 Sept. 1858. It was "moved and seconded" to organize a ward police.

Members of the Utah Stake Tabernacle Choir present at the dedication of the Old Tabernacle, Provo, Utah

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a typewritten list. This list indicates all the choir members at the time of the dedication of the Old Tabernacle in 1867. The tabernacle was dedicated by President John Taylor. The asterisks on the list indicate members who were still alive in 1926 when the list was compiled.

Henry H. Turner memorandum of nearly three years service

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a handwritten "memorandum" book. Turner lists his dates of service, the towns he passed through, the location of various camps and the dates he was there, his pay, marches he undertook, steamers on which he traveled, and engagements in which he participated. Turner served with Company H of the 27th Iowa and was involved in many campaigns apparently with the Union Army of Tennessee.

Scope and Contents Handwritten description of the land, barn, house, and trees of Henry W. Miller's farm in Farmington, Utah. The value of the property was put at $5000. The date of the item is uncertain.

Minerva Wade Hickman autobiography

Scope and Contents Handwritten autobiography. Hickman writes about her experiences in migrating to Utah in the 1840s and in settling in that state. She also includes "a list of names of Births since I came to North Ogden" in which she lists the name and sex of each child born in that community. Also included are genealogies of Hickman and Wade family members.

Moore family notes

Scope and Contents Handwritten entries into a family bible for the Moor and Galbraith families. The items record birth and death dates of family members. Also included are birth dates for "negroes," probably slaves.
