Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typescript of an interview. Gudger was interviewed by Marjorie Jones in 1937 as part of the Federal Writer's Project for the Works Progress Administration. The item includes handwritten corrections. Gudger was 121 at the time of the interview, and the incidents she refers to seem to make that age possible. She talks of how she was poorly treated, worked very hard, and lacked adequate food and clothing. She saw family members sold. Gudger never slept...
