Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typescript of an interview. Coggin was interviewed by Mary A. Hicks in 1937 as part of the Federal Writer's Project for the Works Progress Administration. The item includes handwritten corrections. Coggin said he was given enough food and clothing on the plantation, but he never had shoes. He stated that his master came to visit his former slaves on the day he died.
