John R. Halliday memoirs

Scope and Contents Includes a two-page vita, and recollections of the author's ancestors, family and youth; professional life; church activities; and hobbies. He served a Latter-day Saint mission in Germany, 1931-1933; studied music at the State Academy of Music in Berlin, Germany, 1933-1934; and worked in the Department of Music at Brigham Young University, 1936-1938 and again beginning in 1942. Material was dictated by John R. Halliday in June 1971, and later transcribed.

Leroy Robertson : music giant from the Rockies

Scope and Contents Typed copy of the book manuscript, "Leroy Robertson," a noted musical composer, which was written by his daughter. The item describes Robertson's life and works, including his teaching in the music department of Brigham Young University (1925-1948) and the University of Utah (1948-1965) and his involvement with music in the Mormon Church. Also included is a published copy of the book signed by the author.
