Also included are two articles by Newell Knight and an article from the Salt Lake City Historian's Office pertaining to "Washington Square."

"The Mormon Pioneers" is the seventh album in the Columbia Records Legacy Collection and was produced by Goddard Lieberson with the aid of the Special Projects Staff: Charles Burr. Joan Meyers, Ira Teichberg, David Rubinson, John Simon, and Arlene Steibel. The songs contained in this album are songs that the Mormon pioneers sang as they migrated West and settled in Utah.
