Handwritten and signed letters addressed to David Horner. In the first, dated 16 May 1953, Hartley looks forward to a dinner engagement. The second, dated 23 March 1956, relates gratitude for Horner's congratulations on his receipt of a C.B.E. A letter dated 6 November 1956 and written from Venice gives a detailed description of the advantages and disadvantages of the Hotel Regina, and relates news of Victor Cunard and Freya Stark. Mary Jameson Judah letters received

Scope and Contents
Handwritten letters to Judah from her spouse John, Henry B. Fuller, and Blanche Bates. Her husband's letters date from 1879-1880 while he was in the Rocky Mountains investigating mining investments, and discuss personal and business matters. The Fuller letters detail his future writing plans. The Blake Letter describes a theater production in Chicago. Also included are a certificate for five shares of Arena Publishing Company stock owned by Mary Judah and a death announcement for Lew Wallace.

Materials include Miscellanies in Prose and Verse, a manuscript written by Abraham Orchard in 1780 in Bath, England. In the preface Orchard reflects on his experiences with sin, repentence, religion, and God. The rest of the manuscript contains poetry, prose, songs, and prayers about marriage, daily life, children, nature, and religion.
