Frans Ferdinand Blom papers

Scope and Contents Contains 26 reels of microfilm with positive images and 26 reels of microfilm with negative images of the same materials. The microfilm include copies of a biography, correspondence, certificates, diaries, photographs, and articles. Also included are paper copies of articles, pamphlets, and a map. The materials relate to Blom's research on Mayan archaeology and his expeditions to Mexico.

Richard Halliburton letter

Scope and Contents Handwritten letter sent to the newspaper offices that printed a column known as "The Office Window." The letter is dated March 22, 1928 and was written in Indianapolis, Indiana. Also included is a photocopy of the newspaper article dated Feb. 25, 1928. The news piece was somewhat critical of Halliburton and his adventures. Halliburton wrote to thank the editors for the publicity and to correct the things said about him.

Scope and Contents Typewritten draft of a biographical sketch written for the Utah State Historical Society of a Mormon pioneer, missionary, author-journalist and assistant Latter-day Saint Church historian. It describes (mainly through excerpts from his autobiography) his activities in those capacities, as well as his emigration from Denmark to Utah and family data. Also included are two articles by Newell Knight and an article from the Salt Lake City Historian's Office pertaining to "Washington Square."

Also contains "The Marvellous History of Joan of Arc" (typewritten with handwritten corrections, twenty pages long), and "Sermon on the Blessed Joan of Arc preached in the Cathedral at Rouen 8 May 1910" in French. Collection includes 22 items.
