Collection includes a copy of a handwritten account book, "Personal Account Book of John McLaws, Joseph City, Arizona;" a typescript volume of letters from colonists which appeared in the "Deseret News," describing in detail the history and development of the Mormon settlements on the Little Colorado River; and a copy of a hand-drawn map of Sunset, Arizona (1881).

Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typescript of an autobiography and diary. Allen writes about his youth in Kentucky and move to Missouri after he joined the Mormon Church. He later moved to Nauvoo, Illinois, and joined the Mormon exodus to Utah in 1847. He tells about the hardships of early settlement in Salt Lake City, Utah. His diary starts in 1857. Photocopy of short typewritten biography. Crossed the plains to Utah with the pioneers as a child in 1847, settled with family in Mill Creek Canyon and, in 1851, in Draper. In 1876, called by Brigham Young to head the colonization of the Little Colorado River settlements in Arizona. Moved back to Draper in 1884.

Typewritten autobiography. Greer was born in Dresden, Tennessee, in 1837. After her parents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she moved with them to Nauvoo, Illinois.
