Materials include 720 prints and 534 corresponding negatives taken by Robert D. Adams between approximately 1930 and 1950. Photographs are primarily portraits of residents of Orderville, Utah. One photograph is of a family tree. There are also photographs of events and places in Orderville. There are also 47 woodcuts that are portraits of individuals.
Marie-Thérèse Charlotte Anoulême autobiography
Handwritten copy of an autobiography in French. Anouleme writes about the imprisonment of her family during the French Revolution, the execution of her father and mother, the trial preceding the sentencing of her mother, and her life in prison.
A. Victor Brace letters
Handwritten and signed letters. All of the items were written in Whiterocks, Utah and were addressed to family members in Sutee, Pennsylvania. Brace writes mainly about family and personal matters including his work with the Indians. He apparently was a teacher on an unnamed reservation instructing an unnamed tribe of Indians.

One typewritten copy of the second edition of Payne's book (57 pages). The item talks about the ethnological status of Black people in racist terms. The manuscript uses the pseudonym "Ariel" rather than the author's real name.
Robert Piel letter
Handwritten and signed letter from the Piel in Tamworth to "Dear Sir Rich'd" dated Aug. 27, 1806. The item acknowledges Piel received "your letter" and states that he has contacted Mr. Ainsworth on the unstated subject. Piel wants the proper arrangements made that will be satisfactory to all parties involved.

Typewritten article prepared for the 1972 World Congress on Rural Socilogy. Smith describes the problems with food production and population growth in Brazil. The item was later published in Smith's "Brazilian Society" in 1975.
