John B. Fairbanks diaries

They principally cover the time Fairbanks served as a missionary for the Mormon Church in the Southern States Mission from 1881 to 1883 and when he served as a missionary for the same faith in South and Central America from 1900 to 1902. William Farrer diaries and letters

Scope and Contents

Contains seven handwritten volumes, plus typescripts which focus on Farrer's Hawaiian Mission, 1850-1854. Volume one contains accounts of his work in the California gold fields prior to his mission call. Volume seven is entirely in the Hawaiian language. Also included are photocopies of typescripts of 71 letters written to and by Farrer when he served in the Hawaiian Islands.

Scope and Contents Holograph diaries of Osmer Flake including an autobiography of his life from 1868 to 1893. The diaries cover 1893-1898, 1899-1913, 1935-1954. Also included is a diary of Osmer's first wife, Elsie Owens Flake 1897-1900 and a diary of his second wife, Ethel Ray Flake 1925-1926. Also in the collection is Osmer's biography of his father William Jordon Flake and an autograph book compiled at the Beaver Stake Academy, 1887-1888. Amos Botsford Fuller diaries

Handwritten diaries. Fuller kept these diaries while on a mission for the Mormon Church in Ohio and New York State. He worked primarily in upper New York State and in Medina and Stark Counties in Ohio. Fuller writes of his daily activities and his missionary work. The items are in pencil and are much faded.

Alma Greenwood diary and scrapbook

Scope and Contents

Handwritten diary and scrapbook. The journal was kept from 1 Jan. to 31 Dec. 1883 when Greenwood was serving as a missionary in New Zealand. He reports on his daily activities in entries that are often lengthy and detailed. The scrapbook was created by Alma's wife, Florence Greenwood. It contains newspaper clippings from the 1880s that relate to Mormons, Utah, and to national happenings.
